Middle Pool Stables

Currently, we have two warmblood broodmares, Strathmore Sandpiper and Strathmore Shamwari.

Strathmore Sandpiper (“Minnie”) was purchased as an in foal three-year-old.  Handling and rearing the subsequent foal, “Kookie”, was the start of our horse breeding adventure.  In retrospective, this was a very easy introduction!  Minnie is also used as a riding horse; and, thus has been bred only occasionally.  In 2012, she gave birth to twin foals.

Strathmore Shamwari was purchased as a foal; she will be our main warmblood broodmare, most probably bred to dressage stallions.
