Middle Pool Stables

Our current thoroughbred broodmare band comprises two mares, Canto Del Flores and China Lily.

Canto Del Flores (“Truffles”) was our first thoroughbred, and was chosen principally because of her excellent temperament.  So far, we have bred two foals from her; she has proved a very good mother and, as alpha mare, also keeps everyone else in line.

China Lily was purchased to replace and Shahadah who had to be retired from breeding following complications during foaling.  Shahadah’s one and only foal is Awaywithefairies who has been retained. China Lily produced her first foal, “Willow”  at the end of March (2014).
